if u want to discuss about that topic pls visit my sig ingame ad thread and help us develop ideas in that direction. I am absolutely on ur side, but this thread is absolutely wrong to discuss it.

this topic is about a calendar, it could very easily contain links to a bunch of video streams in ur preset favorite language(or even 2 or 3), it could very easily minimize ur game and open ur fav browser to show the video stream, with one single click

e: oh, the ad part was an answer towards the dude above u, well, u both can visit my ingame ad thread then^^

This would be great! I'm not sure what the calendar is for stuff like the Premier League and I'd love to be able to spectate ingame and chat about it with the other spectators.

No other opinions towards that topic? I thought the first invites went out to somewhat hardcore fans. The future of dota2 as esports game is closely bound to the number of viewers it will be able to attract. It will attract more viewers with an proper match calendar ingame. My ideas how to do it are limited, would be nice if the hardcore fans would develop some other and deeper ideas how to do it right.

Such problems are almost certain, but its up to players and admins to solve them and to decide if they want to put their match on the calendar too far ahead, risking the possibility of disappoint fans, what will always backfire at some point. Valves job would be to implement this feature and give the community the opportunity to make such a schedule plan directly ingame and accessible for every dota2 gamer.

This would be great. The only thing I can see going wrong is if players don't show up for matches and spectators show up expecting a match, and they're just waiting, hoping players will show. It might have to be limited to LAN events, where you can pretty much guarantee that players are going to show up a day in advance.

started a topic Top live matches, upcomming matches calendar

Top live matches, upcomming matches calendar

The thread is meant to discuss about weather the features should be implemented or not and how it could/should be done.

Top live matches need more info, casters and their spoken language should be visible in the “today” section.

Upcoming Pro matches should be promoted somewhere and they should be promoted as offensive and visible as possible. The more ahead ppl can plan what matches they want to see when, the more of them will actually tune in. TV stations have schedules. I basically think there should be a calendar with match dates and times as precise as possible. Admins from the respective leagues should have limited rights to edit the match dates. To prevent any confusion with timezones there also should be a backwards running timer “start in HH:MM” for matches that start in less than 24h.
