Hi there Valve, I just read the blog post and I'm here with some suggestions and overall feedback to hopefully help you guys make good decisions.
Alright, first off I love the idea and it'll possibly help tournament organizers have another revenue stream and it'll make them less reliant on sponsors.
Now, a few concerns regarding pricing. You're competing with free (through streams) so your price can't be exorbitant. I also hope you don't go with the same price for every tournament, there is a very large difference between watching The Defense or watching the Premier League. They're both good tournaments but people generally are more attracted to one compared to the other for prestige reasons among other things (caster affinity and so forth).
Secondly, I'd like to suggest a 'Only Replays' purchase option. It would be cheaper than the whole package but would only allow the user to watch replays. Think of it as educational material to sell. Lots of players would benefit from watching player perspectives from the best players in the most crucial matches.
Thirdly, love that you're willing to incorporate some sort of way for sponsors to advertize in-game and following that line of thought I think another package would be in order. A cheaper version would contain sponsor adds while a premium version would disable adds. Maybe some people won't want to see adds in their game, let them make the choice with their wallet.
Fourth, consider doing this for inHouse leagues as well at a much lower price than tournaments.
