  • [Suggestion] Player-Perspective Resolution Fix

When I spectate a player's perspective during a live match, their mouse cursor seems to be off from mine. For example, the location of the mouse could be way above the mini map yet they manage to interact with it. I'm sure this has to do with the resolution difference between me and the player.

    Also see this posting: http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?...er+perspective

I think you should change the position of the items and the minimap to match the player's resolution if he has a thinner resolution than the spectator.
If his screen is bigger, then maybe it should add widescreen bars at the top and the bottom of the screen.

All in all: The view should match the players resolution.

This is now also very noticeable with the newest patch where you can see a player using the shop in player-perspective. I have a widescreen resolution and when ppl with 4:3 shop, their mouse is off and hovers over another item or so which then also gives wrong tooltips. Seeing ppl shop is semi-useless atm when resolution is not matched.

I don't know how you guys can fix it without having to tamper with the viewer's screen resolution but hey you're VALVE, Im sure you'll think of something

We have some ideas on how to fix this problem and we'll be implementing them in the coming weeks.

This issue is still present. It is especially noticeable when someone clicks the mini map.
