  • [Suggestion] Allow us to 'follow' players

    Wads up guys,

Was thinking that it will be useful to have an interface and be able to follow some 'pro' players or any other player for that matter. Then u can see when and if they are playing a game and can immediately spectate it. Also, this should be tied to the player regardless of any namechange that player might do. Currently, u can filter live games by player name, but if u have a list of about ten players, there's no quick way to find out instantly how many of them are playing or if they're even online.

friends is not an option: honestly, u expect Dendi u accept every freaking friend request his fanbois send him?

steamfriends is also not an option: its more of a hack than a proper solution.

Now if Valve wants to make Dota a serious E-Sport, it needs to cultivate some stars and a fan-base for them (see Hollywood). What better way to do this than to feed our fetish for celebrities by allowing us to 'follow' them?

+1, but the player should have the option to make his games privates, when he doesnt want to be seen.

Good idea, as with Pardal_MK's amendment.

Already in Common Suggestions. It's a good idea to read those before posting a new one. Thanks.
