@twinfish I'm pretty sure they know about all the problems that may occure in dotaTV! But since this game is still in Beta they don't have to rush fixes. They can take some time and come back with a much better/faster/stable Fix instead of just hacking something down that maybe fucks up the code later

I wonder Vavle is noticing those issues we have mentioned here. After I've purchase ticket to watch some tournaments, there is so many issues I'm trying to report to vavle but I cant figure it how. I've tried steam support and Fail. Luckily from @Ayesee casting and some friendly viewer's guide lead me here to try to find some solutions to not Waste my money for supporting those tournament and League. Is it really that hard for vavle just try to make dota2 a friendly customer services that we can report any issues when we users encounter that in dota2?

Mmm, nope. Too many times both the caster and co-caster don't even realize one of them can't be heard, or sounded super bad on DotaTV. They are too focused on their stream Twitch or wtv.

It might be a problem on the user site though, so this would be tricky...

They usually use more than One person speaking back and forth though and this should be enough for qualitycheck on casters.

The speech bubble hardly helps. Sometimes the caster has problems with his mic, making his speech echoing back and it got kind of annoying.

+1 to feedback button from viewers. G-1 has wayyyyy too many of these problems. Co-casters speech never on his mic, Ayesee had his voice echoed back, etc etc.

Really casters just need audio testing options and should be able to see the speaking bubble on the pick screen. Without that speech bubble being on the pick screen a lot of features valve added to make things easier for casters can't be seen till picking is over.

I mean, just something along the lines of the report/commend system where you may have 4 basic choices (main caster no audio/co caster no audio/main caster audio unclear/co caster audio unclear) and when a certain number of reports are reached (10% of viewers or 20 viewers whichever is lower) a message is sent to the caster. Most of the time fixing these issues just involves the caster restarting dota or toggling their mic settings and I think it does provide a good solution to the current issues.

  • Valve, your game needs a "report issue" button for tournament streams

How many games have there been where the cocaster is muted or the caster audio is wonky and you want to let them know but can't?

Most of the times these casters don't even have people on their friends-list watching the game in client. Why can't there be a simple, elegant solution to this by simply adding a report issue button, or allowing for moderators watching through dotatv to contact streamers themselves?

I would really love it if this was implemented sometime in the future.
Working...
