  • Mute Chat While Spectating

Is there currently a way to mute chat so you can watch the games without 12 people spamming the chat? If not I would appreciate it if you could implement an option to do so.

If you are talking about Steam chat, you can just disable notifications, or change your status offline.
    Settings>Friends to disable notifications.

But if you are talking about the game chat, just ignore what I've said.

It's in the in-game chat when you are observing a game.

I thought the chat box only showed up to 7 or so messages at a time?

Still annoying to see new messages keep popping up when 12 people are spamming.

I suppose, need to add /ignore commands like wc3 has or add a button/config option to disable chat imo.

I think isn't necessary an option to mute chat, maybe an option to hide chat when you join a game as observer, or when you start watch a game. Like automatic detection. And you just will need to able or disable that function only 1 time, then you don't have to disable game chat every time when you watch a game.

well thats what I mean by a config change or console command that will disable it potentially it could have lots of applications.
