Are you nuts? TI2 had way higher amounts... Also a proper analyst could have easily expected this number of spectators. They even sold compendiums to make better judgements. Here's a simple calc:

1911490 - 1600000 = 311490 USD for compendium sales. So divide by 10 USD,you get 31149 people who bought a compendium. YOu can expect every last one of them to watch all the games, so you are at least estimating 32k people watching every game now. Let's then say that at least that number times 2.75 watches the games for free, so we are estimating at least ~85k viewers, which is suprinsingly accurate when you watch the number of the spectators of the first 2 games (around 65k) and count in the tens of thousands of people who cant spectate the game now. As these are the first games and they are pretty early where many EU people are still working I'd even say that the number of specs will probably grow above 100k in later games and stages of the tournament. Valve should have at least planned with 150k viewers + reserve (like 50%) to be safe. This is just ridiculous
As the guy below you posted, only $2.5 from every Compendium sale go to the prize pool. So actually 124k people have bought the Compendium. Makes your case even stronger.
