  • Replay Save Time

So I was looking through the Recent Games, and I noticed that the oldest replay available is from a week ago at most (the filter function also seems to be somewhat unreliable, as I know I've played games every day last week but can't find any of my own from earlier than yesterday). It seems to me this defeats the purpose of a replay archive system. The primary value of such a system would be going back and watching pro players playing various heroes in order to learn how to play them optimally. Obviously the majority of pro games are not going to fall within the last several days, so the few valuable replays are effectively being drowned in the torrent of random players from all skill levels playing. Perhaps this is not the idea behind a "Recent Games" tab or the system is still in early testing, but as it stands right now, I feel that it does not offer much of the value it has the potential to. Perhaps the volume of high skill level players is or will be sufficient to provide enough content for reference, but I've also had significant difficulty in finding replays of the highest level of play. Searching for various pro players by name tends to turn up primarily people with names similar to them or imitators. The skill level filter does me no good as I've seen my own games when searching for "High" skill level, and I know I'm far from pro level. Perhaps we could have a system to locate games by a specific player (steam account) rather than substring searching by name or a search category containing only the highest level players? I hope this doesn't come off as overly complaintive as I am aware this is a beta and I'm sure the system will be fleshed out, but I wanted to offer my opinion on its functionality at present.
