I have been thinking about some changes that could be made to replays to help the eSport scene. Replays would be a great way to kill time during downtime in tournaments but the dont offer much in the way they are now. These are some small changes that would maybe make them see more light.

    Draw lines on ground
With this the casters could show the optimal point of attack during key engagements, what teams did right and what they did wrong. It also is a great way to get the player to look at the point the casters want you to look.

    Timestamps on kills
Finding key engagements in a replay is a hassle. Highlights dont show everything and to look through a replay to find a specific moment is really difficult. If you would add a drop down graph which shows timestamps of hero kills (needs to be hidden by default to avoid spoilers) it would help casters to load up a replay and jump to the point of a game they want to replay.

Everything you could do to make studios avoid the constant bracket + music between games would be awesome.

Can't you draw on the ground already? I see casters drawing on the ground all the time, you can press control and left click to draw, on minimap or the actual map. Unless you meant something else.

Timestamps would be cool. Highlights never failed me though.
