  • Making replays more tactical and useful

    As of now, the only tactical teams out there are those who have a training area to be on, such as old Copenhagen Wolves, Na`vi, Zenith etc etc. Thing is, they can go back, look on a replay all together, and see what they should've, could've done. So my suggestion is simple, player A hosts a lobby, his team, Team F, joins the lobby. The host (player A) doesn't start a game, he loads a replay. He is in control of replay speed, and can force the rest of his team to watch whatever he is watch by checking a box, when he unchecks it, the team is free to look where ever they want to on the map. Player B now draws a smiley face and pings on the map, this is visible for the whole Team F. To sum things up;

    *Being able to draw/ping so it is visible for everybody
    *Force team to watch a certain area by checking a box
    *Lobby hosts adjust replay speed as he likes

    And on another note, competitive replays needs to be available for the community. This gets DotA 2 out there by movies and teams can study each other, making it more competitive, without having to watch VoD's. VoD's is more of a pleasure thing over than tactical. Getting movies were they aint just pubtrash will get new players to actually try DotA 2, and maybe even stay.

      Already mentioned in some interview or something with valve guys so it will be implemented sooner or later. I guess it is not of the most importance right now where there are bunch of heroes to be created and not many people would use that option right now.
