  • Hopefully I am not asking a stupid question... Free Camera

Okay, I did the console command for free camera, it does work, but I cannot move my camera at all once I get into the game screen, it's literally stuck in the middle of the map. Same goes with my cursor, also, is anything wrong with the fact that I cannot open the console while watching replays? I've been really wanting to make nice videos but usually the problem is the camera, where I have to work with Dota 2's normal camera. Can anyone give me updated information on using the 'Free Camera' command on the console? Because when I use it, I cannot move the camera at all, my mouse permanently stays hidden and at the center of the screen (i have to spam shift + tab, then move my mouse to the upper left so that I can exit the replay), and I cannot zoom out/zoom in because the console cannot be opened while watching gameplays.

Please, I searched the forum, and I cannot find a problem related to mine, maybe I'm just a retard, but I did every single instruction on this website (posted below), and it's probably not updated, but no one else seems to be having problems making their videos, so I guess I hit a retard patch in this place.

In launch options, add -console (and -novid too if you don't already have it to disable the bald guy with the valve in his head).

The command you are looking for is dota_free_camera 1 (turns free camera on)

If that command does not work, but console does (so try to mess around with console first) then your problem might be more complicated.

By any chance, are you accidentally using one of the binds to hide the HUD instead of just the free camera command?

      >> And on another note, it does sound a bit like your replay binds are set to [nothing], as in when you boot up a replay, it unbinds all of your keys in preparation for binding them to the keys set by the replays settings cfg file, but finds nothing to bind keys to?

The replay binds, how do I fix this?

Go to the controls submenu in options. You should look for SPECTATOR options

Okay, tried it again, still doesn't work.

The moment I use dota_free_camera 1, my mouse disappears when I watch the replay, and I cannot open the console. But every other command works. Also, I cannot open the console when watching replays.

                Nope. Should I disable it?

Try it just as a test.
