  • [Suggestion] Offline viewability of replays

I am not sure if this has been requested before but
Can the replays be made viewable offline?

I kind of want this since I have very limited internet connectivity.

    You already can.

You don't even need internet; you just need to have the replay downloaded to your replays folder.

    1) open dota2, you will prob get stuck on the load screen since you have no internet
    2) open console
    3) type in the following: "playdemo replays\384174" <-- name of your replay, if you renamed it to "pudgegame" then you would do "playdemo replays\pudgegame" etc.

    GL and HF

You are awesome! I am gonna look at every command that I can in the console now!!

oh cool, didn't even know you could open dota without internet connection when you wouldn't be logged onto steam

I'm trying to get this to work. I attempt to play the demo from the console and it says it's working but when I close the console, it still says "Connecting to Dota 2 Network" and never starts the replay.

Any help with this quickly? About to get on a really long flight

edit: The console command works just fine with an internet connection once you're into the menu screen. But offline is still a no-go for me

          "playdemo gamea" yields:
          Playing demo from gamea.dem.
          NotifyClientSignon: 0

followed by nothing. Upon closing the console, the Connecting to Dota 2 Network wheel is still spinning
