  • Watch where you left off, Filters for replays, make managing replays easier!

    tl;dr

The partially watched replay (resume where you left off), would be the most beneficial, looking at the amount of tournaments (and their matches) are appearing, especially at The Defense 3, with over 100+ games.

    Reddit:
    http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/commen...ay_management/

    ========================

New tab or section within the Watch tab, to:
    • identify, watch and manage replays that you have access to.
    • matches that may interesting to you, that can be downloaded.
This may include, a list of
    • Downloaded replays
    • Recently played matches
    • Recently watched matches
    • Tournament matches
    With either:
    • dropdown filters (like in the hero selection screen ingame)
    • sections (these sections can be ordered as you please)
    ================================================== ==

To sort the replays out, filters/sections can include:

    Status:
    • Unwatched replay
    • Partially watched replay
      • Use Steam Cloud
      • Any replays watched midway, have their exact hour/minute/second saved
      • When rewatching replay, prompt user if they want to resume where they left off (Steam Cloud data), start from start, OR from user inputted X hour/minute/second
    • Completely watched replay
      • Option to Delete a replay (At the moment, only way is to go to ..\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\replays and manually delete them)
    Type
    • Tournaments (purchased or have access to - I.E, free to view such as TI2)
    • Public matches
    • Private matches
    Matches
    • Spectated
      • Last X amount of days/months
      • With steam friends (yes or no)
    • Played
      • Last X amount of days/months
      • With steam friends (yes or no)

Each one of these filters, could be in a column/filter, with added icons to make it easier to view.

    Hope this gets enough support!!

Yes, yes and yes! The partially watched and resume thing would be so incredibly useful. I often start watching games while waiting for matchmaking, and it's a pain in the ass to find the replay again and then remember where I stopped watching

        Very nice.
Filtering goes a long way in other aspect of the game.It should be the same here.
I for instance would like to watch a match of a certain hero with very specific start, mid and core items as to compare and see what and when I`m doing something wrong.
Does Dota2 already have a subscribe tab to replay tab? You don`t want to be friends with the person but you would like be updated of his replays and game stats for that game, because he/she is a master player with a certain hero.

Does Dota2 have a hero/player leader board system to track which person is most adequate with a hero for instance Ogre-Magi regarding a certain item/skill built ?For the purpose of subscribing to his replays off course?
