  • [Suggestion] Death Recaps.

I think it would be a good idea to have a little death recap button when you die. To see what damage you took from what during that fight or something like that. Just a button that appears when you die, a box opens displaying what did the most damage and so on and so fourth. Any thoughts?

    Idea inspired from LoL, yes?

I agree with this, would allow players to spend the 50s or so death-time (midgame) analyzing their weakness and planning their strategy with concrete information rather than just conjectures ("I think Lion did the most damage to me, I'm not really sure"). Might present some issues with Weaver (Lapse) as well as various forms of invulnerability (Shallow Grave), but on the whole it should be implementable.

Combat log is a nice feature, but this would be much easier to see and use. Yes please.

It would be cool to see, but I could also see it giving you an advantage (i.e. scoping out the enemy items, where they were hiding and perhaps where they have wards, etc.)

Yeah, I would like to see where the damage came from, and the ability to have a little slider to change how far back it is showing. See where the damage come from in the past 2 or 3 seconds, then slide it over to see who was dealing chip damage over the past 30 seconds.

Also, show healing done in the period, and stuff like damage not taken due to temporary armor and pipe and such.

this is a good idea indeed, know who hits you, when with which spells....
We can already see that but it is not clear at all

I think that the combat log is enough
The death recap is for lol, and i already don't like it!
I think that keeping this for now like dota 1 is better.

Well, It would not be a replay. It would be a list of the damage dealt to you. Somewhat like league of legends.

Well, why not, nothing game breaking would be a good little feature.

I'm confused how this would help people learn about how they died?
"analyzing their weakness and planning their strategy with concrete information rather than just conjectures ("I think Lion did the most damage to me, I'm not really sure")"
Does it matter if Lion or a Spectre did the most damage to you? WTF?

It might be useful if you can watch the way you died in let's say slow motion. But I think only new players may find it helpful.

I have to say +1 too.
In a big teamfight, you don't always know what hits you.
