  • Visual bug on the front page for the dimension 4:3 - resolution 1280 x 1024.

Front page visual bug (1280 x 1024).jpg, How the front page should look (1152 x 864).jpg
As you can see in the pictures above, the ""Updates" parts ("TODAY IN DOTA", "ACTIVE REGIONS"++) AND the "queue time text" of the UI is moved a bit too much to the left. This is only the case for the 1280 x 1024 resolution with the dimension 4:3. The second picture shows how the UI "should" look.

    Repro Steps:
    Choose dimension 4:3 and resolution 1280 x 1024.

The ""Updates" parts ("TODAY IN DOTA", "ACTIVE REGIONS"++) of the UI is moved a bit to much to the left.

    Expected Result:
The "Updates" parts should be moved more to the right, so that we can see all that it includes. This IS a bug.

True, got the same problem with my monitor. Interesting enough, it only happens on the today page, in game it is aligned perfectly.

      1280 x 1024 is 5:4 not 4:3.

Hi, I have exactly the same problem, and only on the main interface, not in game. I've tried turning to lower resolution and that seems to fix it but would like a fix on the 1280x1024 resolution.

the game is optimized for 16:9 ratio at 720p or 1080p

This patch fucked up the client for people who play on 1280x1024 resolutions, but as Tikshow said, it's currently optimized for 16:9. I think I have seen that being brought up before in this forum.

I've had this since I got a key months ago and i've always had this resolution, dont think it has anything to do with the patch?

I got the same issue. Moreover, game often freezes if I use native resolution, so i have to dial it down. One more glitch also appears during games: my cursor just disappears, it becomes "fuzzy" with no clear edges, and than it just disappears and black, vertical, and a bit jagged line replaces it. After a while, cursor reappears with it's normal properties. You probably know this but I use Radeon 6670, with latest drivers. 1280x1024 is 5:4 aspect ratio, so if you don't own widescreen monitor you should use 1024x960 which as 4:3 ar resolution and image quality is just fine. It does come with some black borders, but it rly no big deal. Now, to FoV issue

P.S. I should mention that the latter bug is present in all resolutions.

In addition to what OP said, there is too much spacing between the main content (with the latest patch's pic, forums link, etc.) and the "social panel" at the bottom.

The same thing is happening for the "Socialize" tab.
