    I haven't been able to track down a better place to post this or another thread that is concerned with this, so here it goes. Please inform me otherwise.

    Usability is as you know a highly subjective thing. Proof for this can be found in the various topics on this board that are even remotely concerned with it. But I still have to at least bring this up, as my mates and I found it very confusing.

    The new (or maybe at this point "replacement") optionsmenu is - at this point - not well designed. I can see that this is not the main priority at this stage of the development and that the existing options are just implemented, so you can, if you really want, use it. This works for stuff like "network quality: off / on" - you can at least image whats going on here. But in case of the revised keybindings menu i gotta say: nono guys! The old one, where you could see the the hero hud and make your keybindings was VERY GOOD. My assumption is that the present menu is still unfinished because of the problem of designing the keybindings menu for heros, couriers etc separately (or for heroes who dont have 6 skills ...). So just keep this in mind: Being able to directly see where your bindings go is awesome and intuitive!
    This finally brings me to the point I found most confusing. The changed hotkey-menu for the inventory. The inventory itself is six slots grouped into two rows (or three colums, if you will). The options menu lets you select keys for those slots by a numbered list. Ok... So are the inventory slots numbered from left to right for each row (which is the case, as i found out) or column-wise? This is clearly unusable for the user can't immediatly see the logic e.g.

    Theres threads about the font-size in all the new matchmaking and lobby-screens, so I spare you here.

    Again, I understand that the current menu is all rough. I also see that I dont provide you with any real data from any form of user test but just what me and my peers saw. Still I hope you guys will keep things like menu usability in mind besides all the "more important" directly game-related stuff.

    My mates and I are going to monitor the changes to the UI in the future and are happy to provide feedback regarding usability. One friend of mine has today played his 10th dota-game ever (no dota1, lol or .. before), so he's perfect for detecting usability issues that new players may have (also: the bots for practice are really well done, good job). All this comes from our interest in the field of user experience as we all have degrees in computer-science (with heavy focus on user exp.).
