  • Add W/L back to "Heroes Played" in DotA 2 profile

I'd really like to have the W/L for individual heroes added back to this section of our DotA 2 profiles. The losses were removed this patch (so now only wins are displayed). I understand that this may have been done since losing a game doesn't necessarily have any bearing on how well you did with the hero over all (or whether you win or lose may be factored in to how they compare it), but it's interesting to see what trends are/aren't there for ourselves. W/L for our most-played heroes is still there, so it's really pretty annoying. Also, please don't remove losses in that section too. That would be pretty terrible.

I think recording losses is anti-fun myself and makes for more stressful games because I like looking at stats too much.

Then add an option to hide them or a "Click here to show losses" button? It seems relatively trivial.

I completely agree with the OP. It's not like those win/loss stats are open for the public to view; at least give us, the players, the chance to view them if we so desire.

            Valve.
            Dude.
            Why?

We want more stats, not less! Stop trying to dumb this game down, please!

Seriously. At the very least make it an option that you can change or SOMETHING.

While I agree with the flexibility you propose, the option is pointless if in an example such as myself I 'like looking at stats too much' and a change is as trivial as a button.

TBH I don't know why so many people want to see their losses. Fretting about whether or not I have a positive win ratio or not or having a great ratio on a hero has made games alittle less fun.

Haha dude, New people in this gametype, feel their voice is above god when it comes to changes and patches. Dumbing the game down? Look at the numerous posts on these forums with ideas that just make me want to hit my head on my desk, stupidity overwhelming.

Honestly im fine with having my loss's taken off.
Example - Oh look i lost with mirana 47 times.

                    A. You cant have a break down of all 47 times
                    B. Some games were lost due to early leavers, etc. etc.
                    C. In what way would this benefit a player?. Honestly i like seeing Win's tallied up, plus they are probably implementing Wins with Achievements. Like win 100 games with Naix etc. You unlock Flesh Reaper achievement. Win 50 games with all hero's, You unlock DotA All-star achievement(which would be cool if it unlocked something in the game due to all your hard work)

I agree with OP that players can follow their personal progress, remembering how many w/l they got few days ago, and comparing it to up2date stats - i do it myself and find it encouraging to play more ;p What is more, i would appriciate an option to sorf heros not only by performance, but by wins and loses also. We can se our top#3 heros based by win count, so why can't we follow this info more comfortably, for example to see if any hero is going to hit top#3 if we play him few more games. W/L info seems to me so natural in online competative gaming. If it statys public, or visible only to player it doesn't matter.
