    Why doesn't Valve have a competition for a design on the UI. I know that a lot of Dota 2 players have some talent in design. This way, its voted upon and everyone is mostly happy.

    Sounds like a good idea, so far most of the images people upload on the forum after some photoshop magic look better then what Valve is doing to the UI.

            They have permanent staff who do this for a living. They can easily use the Core Testers and Focus Groups for initial voting. They open requests for inputs on here for Feedback to amend. There's also no legal issues regarding intellectual property this way.

            That being said, I think a UI competition could be interesting if it happened.
