  • Change the dashboard color

Colors have been shown to effect peoples emotions. Red brings out anger, since the dashboard is red why bring out anger in an already intense environment? Why not make it a nice mellow blue color.

Isn't the point of DOTA is to kill people? lol

Or why not add steam workshop to the UI too? People can spend some money to get their favorite colour and all that good stuff.

I like that they have darkened the colour of the background of the dashboard by making it red... BUT.... After quite a few hours playing the game (hanging in the main menu) I thought:

I would like some other kind of picture (or none at all) that is more EASY to the eye. The red colour and animated bottom doesn't let my eyes "relax" as much as I'd want to after HOURS on end of gameplay.

Agreed. Blue it is a natural color. It will be nice.

Can't say that red makes me rage, but blue is definitely much less of an eyesore for me.

              Really good.
I hope dear developers has read this thread.

The red is also causing image retention issues on my monitor, so a colour change would be nice. That blue looks pretty slick.

                  Blue is great to me

                    +1 UI ITEMS!!

i want my dashboard different :P

If they add customizable color schemes they should change all the colored things and not just the background. So the red buttons and whatnot should also change colors, I think. Then again, changing it all would clash with some other things they've got going that aren't just in the UI.

I really have no problem with the current dashboard colour (anything is better than the previous one tho). But an option to change the background colour will be neat (i, for one, would like to have it blue, just like the advertising of the IT2).

make it only 1 color. Valve should show everyone who is the boss, keeping colors (backgrounds, themes) to them selves just makes the game much more uhm competitive and less childish i say?
