  • Valve please allow cacheing of HTML pages on your dashboard or local .htmls

Sorry Valve but I'm getting tired of everytime I launch Dota 2 I have to load almost 4 webpages, them being the 2 pages on the Learn Tab, your store, and your "news" feed. Can you please allow caching of these pages? Or at least make it so that we have local .html pages of the Learn Tab so that when we're in the middle of the game we can check with quick ease (and without lag!) on certain heroes?

    Thanks!

I'm pretty sure some caching is already going on, it probably caches it every session and reloads on launch, you can see the files in the "steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\config\html" folder.

If you're not a fan of the new learn tab you can use:
    Code:
    dota_sf_old_heropedia "1"
in your autoexec.cfg, future support not guaranteed of course.

Thanks for the fix, but it's possible we're both right (in a sense), the HTML pages are cached, but the problem is everytime you load up dota it refreshes these pages regardless, I have Netlimiter installed and it's very clearly that for the first 5 minutes there is high bandwidth travel in Dota, and it's obvious when I go to the News/Learn/Customize tabs that that info is being retrieved.
