  • [Bug] Old heropedia

as of the latest update the old heropedia shows the hero portraits wrongly scaled.

Repro: as of the latest update, use autoexec.cfg and add the following command line:
    dota_sf_old_heropedia "1"
then go to the Learn tab on the dashboard, and you'll notice all portraits are messed up.

    Result: all portraits messed up

Expected: all portraits should fir their space accordingly.

Additional notes: I do realize the old heropedia is not supported by valve anymore and that any problems with it escapes their responsibility, as it's an outdated system.

apologies: the screenshot is not yet ready, give it time

I noticed this as well. I've uploaded a screenshot for reference:

The major reason why I prefer using the old Learn screen for the heroes is that it's much faster, rather than having to wait to connect through the internet for the hero page to load when you click on any particular hero. In my humble opinion, I think Valve should keep the "heropedia" stored locally so less bandwidth is used (and less waiting is endured to retrieve the data from the website).

But for now, the old heropedia Learn page will suffice.

I also have this problem. I really love the old heropedia, and I would hate to have it die from this patch. The new heropedia is really good for people who aren't familiar with the game, but the old one is so much faster AND you get to hear the rare voicelines (which I love).
