  • Cast animation timer display suggestion

Hiya, just a quick request to the game dev's for an easily implementable change to item and ability tooltips. The suggestion is [and it's something i'd like to see] that cast animation time should be listed along with cooldown and duration. For instance, at the bottom of each tooltip there's two boxes with numbers next to them [can't remember exactly what they stand for.] My suggestion is to stick a third one in detailing the cast animation time for each ability/item. If one could toggle this on/off in the options menu then that'd be good as well.

My reasoning for this is that each ability has a cast animation timer. Cast animation timers are effectively mini-cast times [because the spell can't be cast before the cast animation has fully played.] Therefore for each ability to show the amount of time it takes for the cast animation to be cast would be fitting I think.

I don't see any downsides to the implementation of this, but undoubtedly there'll be nay-sayers along the way. I think this'd be a good addition to the game. In response to the nay-sayers out there, I point you to the above toggle on/off function.

Any feedback to this would be much appreciated =)

Well yeah , but some of the abilities can be cast without waiting for the animation , i can't give you the exact names of them etc. but using the stop button for some abilities you can lower your animation timer , or ignore it (not fully of course). As for showing it , well I agree for it , but in the same time no :/ Why no , well it just makes the game more interesting and makes you "think" a bit while playing it , like to somehow calculate the cast animation + cast time = will you cast it before you die , something like that If we want Valve to display all the info for heroes / spells etc. then we have no drama in the game , that's how I see it. Not that its a bad idea , but I would prefer it to be more daring like it is now.
