If you are about to make movies, then I'd suggest looking this tutorial (thanks to Cyborgmatt)

I note that even he forgot couple lines there ex. "dota_sf_hud_stats_dropdown 0". And these commands only work if cheats are enabled.
No, I'm not about to make movies. This idea comes from some intense situations like team fight, a bigger view will be very helpful. Commands which only work in cheats are useless.

I guess it's almost impossible to remake the layout of HUD because there're already a bunch of community-created items in the store. To make the HUD invisible temporarily is a much feasible solution.

  • [Suggestion] A Hotkey To Hide All HUD Elements Temporary

As the title says, sometime we just need a bigger view temporarily due to some situations. Using a hotkey to hide all HUD elements (maybe except mini-map?) is a feasible solution to get into a full-screen viewer mode. And if player wants them back, just hit the hotkey again. This solution will be also an excellent answer for those users who want a longer vertical view.

    You guys' thoughts?
