  • Gold and level isn't visible enough

Gold: Golden text on Golden background with a small fond size is bad.

level/Exp: Slightly better. White text on gold backgroud doesn't provide much contrast either. Also the level/exp are put in a weird place. Prefer they back to the center of panel.

maybe a third bar below the mana bar would be better, or change the bar color to purple like in wc3.
and why not display the gold amount near the k/d/a ?

Yeah, I thought so, lvl bar so hard to seen. My friend play and once he doesn't know where the lvl show. Perhaps place the level and experience bar above the Hero's.
      Floating would be better,

There is unused space inbetween MAP >> HERO HUD >> ITEMS, that space in between can be used to display level/exp/gold/quickbuy/ etc, or make the HUD customizable for players to choose what is viewed there.

The problem with this space is that people with a 4:3 screen don't have it (or have a reduced version).

This is one of the first things I thought when I started playing D2. In the end you get accustomed to gold, but I'm still not used to the experience bar. Having to check it every 2 minutes like a schizophrenic to see how much exp I need to lvl up doesn't seem too healthy for me. It needs to be bigger, take a large portion of the HUD so it can be seen with just a glance.

            My humble opinion.

We'll get used to things as they're now in the short or long run, but I don't really like these.

From a usability point of view this was one of the first things i noticed about the UI.
"Shop" is much larger than the current amount of gold while the relevant information conveyed by the button is: "Can I afford Item X?" or "How is my farm?" or "Can I rebuy?".

I have more opinions on the overall UI but haven't found the appropriate forum and time to give feedback on it.

I've had the same experience. The experience bar is the main thing that's bothered me about the HUD.
Change has kept DotA alive, evolving, and improving since 2002. And now DotA has an entire new engine at it's disposal, with infinite new capabilities.

So why are there so many DotA fundamentalists/conservatives that oppose new features, options, and information?

                Embrace the change.

Would you suggest a new skill description layout?

The gold is shown where it is shown because thats where you can click to shop. People are used to see gold in the top right-hand corner but since you dont need to click on actual vendor, you can just click on the box where your gold is displayed, theres nothing wrong with it once you get used to it.

Everything is so small in this game I have to lean on the monitor to see it clearly
Watch page, gold, skills description, items, everything

And no, I don't need glasses
