Ward placement interface issue

  • Ward placement interface issue

In standard DOTA, when you attempt to place a ward in an incorrect position, the UI remains at the ward-placement-targetting stage. That is, you can immediately click to place it again. You can spam click until you find the correct spot.

In DOTA 2, you have to activate the ward again if you miss.

Please fix this minor but unnecessary annoyance.

I've placed two wards directly on top of each other on more than one occasion because of the clunky ward placement issue.

It's rage-inducing every time. ESPECIALLY when as Radiant, I place a river ward near top lane and that second ward was supposed to be used to block their northern neutral camp. =/

Bumping a 6 month old thread because the issue still exists. I see that it's not a HUD issue. Not sure if I posted it here by accident or it got moved.

Yup that was the first thing that shocked me when I clicked ward on the green tiles by the ledge of cliffs.

Yup, this is really annoying as a support trying to find the ward spot. It wastes time is clunky to use. All "target point" abilities should give an error when cast at an invalid point and then allow you to re-target without having to hit the hotkey again.

OR you could just learn where to place wards!
