  • Resolution imbalance

When watching stream tonight, I noticed that the person streaming had noticably wider field of vision than I do. I actually hopped into the game to check this and I confirm, with my 4:3 resolution my field of view is quite a LOT smaller.

To demonstrate, I picked tiny, moved my mouse into the corner of the screen and then positioned the hero so that he was right on the edge so that I didn't see anything of him at all. Then I switched to 16:9 . . . result? Like half of tiny's head was not in my FOV, and a good deal of empty space to the left of him was visible. I don't wanna speak of ingame units, I can post screenshots but it is very easily reproducable.

I don't think I need to mention how much harder it is to play with a decreased FOV, and this is NOT a negligable difference, considering I noticed it on first sight.

Can anyone confirm this? Also, please move this thread if it's not in the correct section.

Confirmed. 16:9 has a wider view than 4:3. This has been widely discussed and explained in previous topics.
