  • Segment the Mana Bar For Allies/Spectators

Put dividers on the mana bar which mark the cost of spells.

Sven would have marks on his mana bar at 140 (storm bolt), 25 (war cry), and 100 (level 1 god's strength). The mark could be white if the user doesn't have enough mana for the spell or black if they have the mana for it.

I'm not sure if I agree with your method of putting mana bar marks that are hero-specific. I think it's much easier and intuitive to do it like the current allied HP bars, which are divided every 250 hit points. I don't like the idea of having to memorize what all the different mana bar breaks are for each hero and each ability. I am in favor of manabar segmentation though.
Change has kept DotA alive, evolving, and improving since 2002. And now DotA has an entire new engine at it's disposal, with infinite new capabilities.

So why are there so many DotA fundamentalists/conservatives that oppose new features, options, and information?

    Embrace the change.
