  • [Suggestion] Right-click through chat. Remove right clicking on player names in chat.

There is something to be said about the chat box about DotA 2. While I love the fact that it highlights the player with their colour and hero avatar, it is extremely irritating when trying to right-click the ground or a creep that is low on health when someone types something.

What I mean is, if you right-click on the player's name in the chat box it opens up a dialogue box that lets you report or commend the player, or mute them (not sure on the options). This can be very annoying, especially if it forces you to miss a last-hit or escape the range of an AoE or targeting skill.

My suggestion is to leave those options to the scoreboard exclusively. When it is in the chat box, it has the potential to hamper game-play and does not need to be that accessible in my opinion. If someone is bothering you and you need to mute them, pull up the score card and mute them. Simple as that. We have no control over what other people say, and therefore can't predict when something will pop up right under our cursor when it's in the general vicinity of the chat box.

And not being able to right click through the chat box is kind of irritating as well. I don't know if this is the case as I was annoyed the dialogue box more specifically. I have only tested that once, but will try it again in my next sit-down and report back.
    This ain't ova.

I didn't know this feature, but if it's as described, it should definitely removed asap for dumbing down the game.

hmm, I haven't been able to replicate it since I sat down. Unless it was some kind of bug, I can't figure out the cause.
hum, line between spectate and played matches begin to blur? -_-
