Only way to get around this is to click and hold on the minimap on the spot you want to look at as you respawn. Somewhat annoying, a toggle for this would be nice.

This thread is from 05/02/2012, and it's a very simple thing to change which bothers a lot of ppl.

Please, pay attention to this and enable an option to take controll over our own's screen at heroes respawn!

I think WC3 DotA had this feature, should be implemented as an option for DotA 2. +1!

+1, really want this... specially now as the hero respawns with full mana and is immediately ready for action

Agreed, this has caused me to lose a lot of kills from accidentally tping to base instead of the tower where I was targeting before the camera moved. Please make this an option.

New to Dota2, never play Dota before| Ok so it's been half a year, still more new thing to learn. The game is awesome. | It's been 3 years, still don't know how to play half of the heroes. The game is the other half of my life now.

use this command in console to DISABLE focussing the camera on your hero when you respawn:
                          dota_reset_camera_on_spawn "0"

Thanks! I somehow missed this when going through console commands
