  • New Day/Night Clock - Feedback

    Heya guys,

just wanted to mention the older clock did the job a lot better. Was a case of "fixing what ain't broken" IMHO.

Anyone else want to mention anything re: new clock?

I didn't get how it works yet. A little confusing aye.

    I may be just dumb

      I agree.

The previous one looked better and understanding how it worked came naturally in the first minutes after it was implemented. On the other hand, I've been struggling with this clock for days and I still cannot get used to it.

Oh, and by the way, when hovering over the clock it would be that much more useful if it showed not only hours but minutes as well (maybe there could be an option for having the current clock look or the previous one, and also for showing minutes, and how the time is written on it (12 hour display or 24 hour display)

Yes. I do want. It seems to cartoonish. Surely, it seems like doing it's function a little better, but I was ok with previous one. And not ok with this.

Nevertheless, it was changed twice since the International, so I think it'd be changed again.

Would you explain to me how it works? I can't tell what time is it or when is the next night/day just by looking at the sun/moon.

I can't be alone in this, seen a lot of balanars complaining about the same thing.

Yep. I didn't pay attention to the new clock in terms of utility until I played with NS. It seems that day and night is determined by the HALF sun/darkness, rather than FULL sun/darkness. WHAT???

                      Subtle nerf???

In terms of utility, it's more confusing than useful. In terms of aesthetics, I like how it looks.

How do you guys not understand how this clock works? As the day progresses, the clock turns. At the bottom of the clock is an arrow that indicates what time it is. Once the clock is half sun, half moon, it changes the day to night or vice versa, because the shift between day and night in the circle is outlined by the arrow.

Seriously guys, it's not rocket science.

i agree that this one's better and is a lot more aesthetically pleasing. i was also confused by how the old one worked visually and would always have to mouse over the icon to find out the time.
