  • [SUGGESTION] Magic and Physical Damage Difference.

Well guys, I don't know if I'm in the right place to make this suggestion, if not, please move this thread to his right place...=D

In DotA we all know that some skills does physical damage and others does magical damage...
The thing is, we don't aways know which skills does one and which skills does another...
(I don't know if I'm the only one with this problem...XD)

    My suggestion is that:
Like in League of Legends, the magic damage is shown in BLUE, while the physical damage is shown in ORANGE.
I think this would be a nice implement to DotA interface.
Once you put your cursor over your skill, in the description, the number that represents the damage should go BLUE/ORANGE depending on the type of damage.

    I'll give an example:

    PUCK Illusory Orb
Puck launches magic orb that floats in a straight path, damaging enemy units along the way. At any point, Puck may teleport to the orb's location using Ethereal Jaunt.
    Cast Range: 3000
    Travel Range: 1800
    Radius: 200
    Damage: 70/140/210/280

    SLARDAR Slithereen Crush
Slams the ground, stunning and damaging nearby enemy land units. After the stun, the affected units are slowed by 20% for 2 seconds.
    Radius: 350
    Stun Duration: 1/1.5/2/2.5
    Damage: 50/100/150/200

Thumbs up if you think that this is a good suggestion and should be implemented...=D

If something is good and functional and makes a game better it doesn't matter where it came from.

You can have pure damage too (e.g. Invoker's Sun Strike), but it is a good idea to use a color in the damage. All skills already have a tooltip telling you the type of damage.

Too much of DotA1, you get used with everything and you just don't read the skills descriptions anymore...=D
