I like the suggestion, but it ruins the point of map awarness.. It will make it easier for healers and we don't want that in DotA. Like to keep it the way it is without too much change in the game play that makes it too easy.

Healers would most definitely be able to cover their teamates much easier and know who needs a heal and who doesn't, not wasting mana on someone that is only missing 20HP.

And just because LoL does it , it's bad? It doesn't make the game easier but the game needs to be more accessable and showing those bars could help communication even with non-english speakers.

This is good idea since most of players are not using Teamspeak/Ventrillo/Skype when playing (not in party) and only some use the Voip option (without trolling) need a way to comunicate, and this is friendly for new players. Make it optional for the ones that think that Dota is getting turned into LoL because of this.

Sorry that I missed the forums cos after TI2, DOTA2 was so much more fun with all the updates. Lol.

Valve has added the health bars and low hp warning indicator in spectator mode.
But I am more looking forward to it added in game. Even just the low hp warning will be good.

Hell, in FPS like L4D2, you get to see all your team mates's health bar and that helps in team play as you heal them up or go to their aid.

I suppose this would be good. Though i must say most of the time i probably won't be looking to the top in a teamfight.

Whether we want health bars or not is beside the point: Icefrog already concluded he doesn't want them, or else they would have been there in the first place.
I would really like you to give me the source of the post in which Icefrog specifically states that he wants DotA 2 to be 100% the same as the original DotA. Because he is working at Valve and is most likely the one approving many design decisions.
