  • [suggestion] Event message readability

    This is how kill messages tend to look normally:

    Leshrac (mouz.SingSing) just pwned Crystal Maiden (Na'VI.Vi.AA)'s
    head for 250 gold!
    And this is how I think they should appear:

    Leshrac just pwned Crystal Maiden's head for 250 gold!
    mouz.SingSing x-> Na'VI.Vi.AA
    where x-> is some sort of graphical kill icon.

    It's easier to read for two reasons. One, the lines are no longer broken up due to limited space. And two, you don't have to parse apart bracketed terms to identify the heroes and players involved.

    Additionally, the way I see it, player names are only truly significant in inter-player interactions, since most people track players by hero name rather than player name. So any event messages not involving disconnects or kills should ignore player name entirely, like so:

    Vengeful Spirit has activated a Haste rune!

    Brewmaster has bought back into the game!
    If you're pro enough to identify players by name, you don't need to see the player name in these messages. If you're not pro enough to do that, you're probably identifying them by hero alone.

    i think they should exclude player names entirely also sometimes stuff shoots off the event feed to fast and theres no way to go back up and see if X player bought back into the game (to see if you did kill him or not to confirm your not insane)
