On the pc with the problem, i have the Ati 4870x2. It's 1 card tho, not two in crossfire. Also noticeable i have a 120hz monitor.

It has 2 GPUs, so its a crossfire setup. Its a bug that has been reported since February and still has no fix. The workaround for now is creating an application profile for dota2.exe disabling crossfire. In my case (5970), a Single GPU handles the load just fine. Dont know how yours will do, but its the only way to get rid of flickering as of now.

Huh, any idea how to translate that across to ATI?

                Verified, this does work.

Sadly that means this issue has still not been addressed. Default SLI rendering seems to not have been addressed yet. Here's hoping they get to it soon.

No luck for me. Mode 1 or 2, drops to desktop, but dota is still "on top" as mousing over the top area gives me the sounds when in game mousing over play, watch, etc.
