There's already an audible "baby sitter"!!!

"YOUR ANCIENT IS UNDER ATTACK!!! YOUR ANCIENT IS UNDER ATTACK!!!" "YOUR TOP/BOTTOM/MIDDLE TOWER IS UNDER ATTACK!!!" "YOUR TOP/BOTTOM/MIDDLE TOWER HAS FALLEN!!!" Ring any bells??

Don't be so damned ignorant. Clearly adding a visual "warning" is just as "baby sitting" as having the British lady tell you over and over that your structures are being attacked.

If you have nothing to add to the conversation, then leave your childish comments to yourself. You contribute nothing and just force us adults/mature people (plenty of mature younger people) to scroll passed your mindless drivel.

Please learn some proper grammar and also see my comment from above. You don't seem to play this game enough to know that there is already an audio cue that warns you that your Ancient is under attack. How is it easier if a quick flash of damage percentage is shown, ie. ANCIENT 75%, 50%, 25%. The audio will continue repeating that "your Ancient is under attack!!" until the enemy stops attacking it. So, flashing an HP decrease warning is essentially "less easier", as you would put it, than constantly nagging me with a sound loop that something is happening in the base.

This would most likely be contributed to some sort of bug and should be reported. I have also experienced this where you see the tower fall and either the announcement doesn't come or it is late.

barfly is clearly a forum troll and has nothing to contribute. His account should be removed from a developer forum that is created to discuss game issues/bugs/suggestions.

+1, anything that improves the game and makes it easier to learn for new players is fine by me.

If the suggestion adds nothing bad to the game but does add some good to it then there is no reason at all why it shouldn't be implemented.

"want the game also play for you?

its fine as it is now, why all suggestions just want to make the game more easier."

This trash excuse was also used before against implementing 100% gold sellback for 10 seconds after buying an item. In case of accidental clicks. That feature was put in, this one has a chance to be as well.
Great job on the mute system Valve! Keep it AS IS!

                      Ofc it affects the game...

And I say no aswell. It should be about paying attention and trying to sneak in the base and all and not oh something is alerting me so I have to react.
VALVE please make a punishment system that punishes the offenders... not the team. Also ever heard about communication? Try it. It might solve a lot of debates/questions here on the forum.

How many more morons like you would like to step in with the same excuse? There is already an audio alert. You people are absolutely dumb. I don't know what game you are playing, but in DOTA 2, when your Ancient or other structures are being attacked, you are warned by the announcer "Your 'insert structure name/location here' is under attack!". It will repeat this phrase over and over until you react or it is destroyed. There's no real sneaking, because eventually the team will be notified that their base is being destroyed.

Please, turn on your speakers, pull the shit out of your ears, and pay attention. If you're deaf or too poor to run your game with sound, I apologize for being so crass, but this is like the third or fourth time someone said that you can sneak in the base and that warning the team would be unfair. there is ALREADY a warning, we're merely suggesting a text warning/damage notification. Please try reading the thread and not just assuming you know what's being discussed. Also, try to come up with a fresh argument against it, instead of regurgitating what's already been said repeatedly, especially since it's WRONG.

If there is already a warning(announcer->sound) and a minimap (visual) that people here don't seem to be using , why do I need another thing in my HUD.

If your ancient towers are down you keep a fucking eye on the minimap or don't leave the base until you win a teamfight.

If you managed to destroy the enemies ancient towers , it will not be fair for them that you know their ancient hp (just another downside for the losing team).

But whatever , I played Hon and the only way I see this useful is that only the losing team sees their own ancient hp.

Again, we're not suggesting a constant HP counter... more like in Monday Night Combat where, you'll get a warning that your Moneyball (Ancient) is at 75%, 50%, 25%. You don't know the HP, you just know that it's getting lower. It also isn't a constant update every time it's hit, just at 1/4 key points. All it does is give the losing team a larger sense of urgency that maybe it's time to start defending because their Ancient is going down, still going down, about to go down, game over.

I also agree that there is not enough mini-map awareness by players. All too often people don't know they're about to die because they're not looking at the map that shows 4 opposing team members are running straight down the lane at them, or they don't realize they're too close to the other tower, or their teammate is pinging for help while they farm in the jungle/other lane. You name it, you're right, map awareness is key and should not be excluded as a requirement for successful game play, but, at the same time, non-obtrusive 'main screen' warnings wouldn't be terrible. If we can have a pop-up that tells me 'so and so' is on a killing streak which has ZERO affect on the game other than DOTA 2 basically 'trash talking' to you, then what's wrong with a quick flash of "Your Ancient is at 75%"?

You can't say that it doesn't affect gameplay though. Because it definitely does.
Map awareness is a big aspect of Dota that you need to practice.

I'm all for more features, but honestly I don't see this being added.
