  • [Suggestion] How to make the two big grey space useful.

    Everybody knows about these two bigs squares, between minimap and Hero , and between Hero/Items Interface.

    Currently they're useless (yeah i know, they only exist in high res to fill the empty space), but here a list of suggestions to make it an useful space :

    Incorporate there :
    - The chicken interface
    - The Stash interface (ie : liberate space on the "playground area")
    - The current target (on the right, it will make it possible to check someone, without losing the view over our hero) - On the right
    - The group interface (will make the top right area free) - On the right


    Especially the bold one, thought the other ones are also good tools.

    I don't think that can or will be done. First off, the space is there because the UI was designed to work with 4:3 and widescreen resolutions. Second, if these were to be added, it would create an advantage for those with 16:9/10 screens.

        This is not the final UI so discussing about the use of those spaces it would be a bit pointless, but in any case they should be removable+scale in the game options

          Not sure, but isn't that designed for casters to put overlays on?

              Those spaces are only present on widescreen resolutions. Adding anything there would give widescreen users an advantage over 4:3 users.

                    Those spaces are there because wide screen resolutions need something to fill up the space. If it was something useful, the game would be biased towards that type of hardware because that screen real-estate does not exist in a 4:3 monitor.

                      who really cares about those users? anyone who actually has a 4:3 monitor can still edit their steam launch properties to open in a widescreen (black boxes on top& bottom) resolution. why should the majority suffer because of a minority having 10 years of outdated technology...

                            You guys focused on the actual fonction of those boxes, can't you think about the suggestion ? the area would be there for everyone of course, not only widescreen.

                            It's just about getting a better UI to control courrier/hero/group/target

                              My vote is to simply REMOVE the bars. I prefer a very minimalistic approach. I want as little clutter on the screen so I can focus on the things that are important to me.
