  • Meepo Control Group Number

I play Meepo with each one having a different control number.
    Meepo 1: Ctrl + 1
    Meepo 2: Ctrl + 2
    Meepo 3: Ctrl + 3
    Meepo 4: Ctrl + 4
    Meepo 5: Ctrl + 5

I am suggesting that there be a number on top of each Meepo depending on the Ctrl number assigned to him.

If there are multiple ctrl numbers assigned to one Meepo, the latest number is shown

It would be amazing to have a small, translucent number above the head of each Meepo with its number visible only to the person playing him (or team, possibly). This idea deserves to make it through.

A really good idea would be to have control group hotkeys show up next to the left-hand portraits (when assigned), like it happens with items.

i feel that dota2 needs something similar to control groups section in sc2, where u can easily see the keybind for each set of units in the UI.

and ye there needs to be something noticeable in each meepo to tell you, THIS I IS MEEPO 1, 2 etc

i fully support the key bind being above there heads and being next to there icon in the top left boxes.

            Necro,
This still desperately needs to be implemented.

Coloured numbers above any given units head, pertaining to the group(s) they are assigned to.
For example with 4 total Meepos (individual grouped, and total group on 5):-

Meepo 1 (main): Cntrl + 1, and cntrl + 5 ; This meepo would display a blue 1, and purple 5 above his head.
            Meepo 2 : Cntrl + 2, and cntrl + 5 ; This meepo would display a green 2, and purple 5 above his head.
            Meepo 3 : Cntrl + 3, and cntrl + 5 ; This meepo would display a yellow 3, and purple 5 above his head.
            Meepo 4 : Cntrl + 4, and cntrl + 5 ; This meepo would display a red 4, and purple 5 above his head.

Maybe you also assign all but main Meepo to cntrl + 6, thus:-

Meepo 1 (main): Cntrl + 1, and cntrl + 5 ; This meepo would display a blue 1, and purple 5 above his head.
            Meepo 2 : Cntrl + 2, and cntrl + 5, and cntrl + 6 ; This meepo would display a green 2, and purple 5, and orange 6 above his head.
            Meepo 3 : Cntrl + 3, and cntrl + 5, and cntrl + 6 ; This meepo would display a yellow 3, and purple 5, and orange 6 above his head.
            Meepo 4 : Cntrl + 4, and cntrl + 5, and cntrl + 6 ; This meepo would display a red 4, and purple 5, and orange 6 above his head.

Another thing that really annoys me with playing Meepo in Dota 2, compared to Dota Allstars, is the fact that in Dota 2, the HUD still displays a green circle around unselected Meepos. I concede the green circle is indeed dimmer, however it isn't contrasting enough in general with the HUD/screen with regards to contrasting the fact that certain Meepos are indeed selected and/or not selected at any given moment. I don't need to be reminded that a Meepo although unselected, is still indeed available for me to control... I didn't forget that I can indeed reselect one of my Meepos.
And again, similar to this, is having multiple Meepos selected at once, when you 'tab' through the selected Meepos, the only HUD feedback is a dotted white circle, however this dotted white circle is super imposed ontop of a solid white circle, the solid white circle is display for all currently selected Meepos. There is 3 (or kind of 4) HUD feedback colouring elements present, and at least one of these feedback colouring selector elements is not needed and makes everything harder to see.

The HUD colouring feedback rules pertaining to currently selected units is as follows:-

-No selection = All light green (this should just not exist imo).
-One unit only selected = Selected is white solid circle, unselected remains light green, hovering mouse over the selected unit changes to a slightly brighter green circle (hover not needed).
-Multiple units selected = All white circle, with currently 'tab' unit a super imposed dotted white circle on top of the solid white circle (poor contrast, needs more contrast), brighter green circle hover now fully disabled.

The HUD colouring feedback should follow (imo):-

-No selection = Nothing is coloured at all.
-One unit selected = Selected bright green circle
-Multiple units selected = current 'tab' is bright green circle, non 'tab' (i.e all others within selection group) slightly dimmed white/grey circle

Leave colouring of actual cursor itself as is (that is, when you hover over a friendly (controlled or non controlled) unit is green, enemy is red).

If I make a third party/app that does the above^, is this considered allowed, or not allowed... for all intents and purposes...
