Agreed. A good way to learn from your errors, even more in team fights, where everything is a mess. +1

Good idea and should be easy to implement.

I like this idea as well. I've tutored many of my friends when they started Dota 2, and many of them were frustrated with they didn't know how they died.

I really like this idea, a highlight would be fairly non-obtrusive but that additional information is nice.

Well not top priority, but I don't see a reason why not and it could for example add an icon with the description of the source, so new players could learn what the f*** killed them (f.e. Rupture being a top candidate there for noobs).

Sounds like a good idea, why not to add this?

  • Highlight the killing source of damage in "Who killed you" pop up

Simple change that would be quite interesting to see. In the "Who killed you" pop up, you can see all the damage done to you by different heroes and sources and you can see who was the one to get the killing blow, but you cant know which source of damage it was that finished you off. While a minor thing, I personally would find it interesting to be able to see this.

Example: You are killed by Pudge. In the "Who killed you" thing it shows you have taken damage from Rot, Hook, Dismember, Auto-attacks and Urn. You won't be able to know which of these sources of damage was the one that actually killed you.

Suggestion: Somehow highlight the source that killed you, for example by adding some sort of glow around the icon of the damage source that delivered the killing blow.

I hope this was presented in an understandable manner.
