  • The camera is too zoomed in

I think the camera is too zoomed in. I have played HoN for like 2 years and dota for 3 years and i think the HoN camera is better. It feels like you got better control.

This could be called a balance issue and it would also be a change from old dota. However that dosent have to mean that it won't ever happen but it is probably far down on valves to do list.

Apart from that I would personally support a tiny change, something like a 200 - 300 increase in camera distance.

I think you may be suffering from a condition called 16:10 monitor resolution.

I agree with this. It needs to be zoomed a little back. Dosnt have to be extremnly far back, as other said, for balance reasons and all. But now it's just making me acually nausious (sorry for bad spelling!)

Fine the way it is. Move your camera if you want better overview.

I cant belive people are fine with the way it is now. You constantly need to scroll around to see what is going on, and being so close to the ground, it acually makes me dizzy >.<

Actually yes. But only on 4:3.
                    I had a 4:3 (1280x1024) and it was awful...but now (3 days ago) I got a 16:9 monitor and it's fine. It's nice. I see much more and it's optimal.

For me it is too zoomed out. Everything is so small. The distance from the ground should be like Warcraft 3's, then we can see everything clearly.

Otherwise it's just the HP bars being too small (it's a lot harder to last hit in Dota 2 because the HP bars are so small and I can't hit accurately)

You shoudnt settle for "It's fine" >.<; It's too close, it creates a really uncomfortable experience

people are really complaining about this?

                            This is DotA2 camera.
                            http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...TA2Compare.jpg

                            This is HoN camera.
                            http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...oNStandard.jpg

if anything the DotA2 one is zoomed out slightly more than HoN's. This also contributes to the feel of a faster game.
You want to know what HoN would look like using the same camera as DotA well here.
                            http://i259.photobucket.com/albums/h...t/HoNDOTA2.jpg

The issue here is that people are complaining about the wrong thing. The camera is already zoomed out in comparison to LoL and HoN, the difference is that HoN and LoL all use relatively small model sizes in comparison to what DotA has, and the models are large for their own reasons. The distance a hero travels in DotA2 will feel smaller because it is in comparison to a hero with a slightly larger model.

                              The camera is OK.
Huge HUD when playing in 16x9 isn't.
