  • The UI needs a "scale" bar -- it's MUCH too large right now.

As it stands, the UI takes up about 30% of your overall viewing space. Why can't I scale it down? Ideally, I'd like to have a tiny map at the bottom of the screen with no hero portrait at all. There's no reason for such a big, bloated UI. I know someone will just say "because that's how it was in DOTA1" -- but that's not a satisfactory answer.

+1, it's been mentioned countless time though.
Supposedly the logic given is it's to create "balance" to normalize everyone's viewing area. But I prefer a minimalist approach, I don't enjoy the bulky UI.

I like the size of UI as it is now. Playing on 19'' 1400x900.

the hero hud ui size has to remain the same for everyone, over all I think it is -okay- maybe it could be a bit smaller but not by much.

I dont think our physical hero portraits need to be so large it doesnt make sense really. Can we get a level HUD like icons no bigger than our skill set icons that we currently have?

So because they want it to be the same for everyone they have to reduce my enjoyment of the game? No. Not in 2011. If they want to go that route, lock the UI to a standard in tournaments. Let us toggle it otherwise.

No. It's already significantly improved from DotA.

                        T-down.

Not seeing your items, not seeing you skills in cooldown, not seeing your buffs and debuffs, you're willing to trade all that so you could have a larger view?

You have a minimap for that. You have allies' communication for that. And everybody gets the same screen anyways.

+1 ... waste of space. giant hero portrait and blank spaces != good.
