  • A bit more polished version of the grid view?

One day, I was Looking at the grid view, and I felt it was a bit, unpolished.
So I made a mock-up in photoshop. just adding some round corners, outer shadows and inner glows.
While I was working on it, I thought that I should fill the unreleased heroes in. I did, and the below is the result.

As you can see. It's so big that it's clipping through pick button.
So I decided that I'd resize the picker and put some things in the right.

So this is the result. Having cards and no hover-to-enlarge thing.
Maybe we can add some tooltips to show the name.
I don't know. It's just my personal preference. I just felt the current version was, a bit unfinished. And as it is, I might give them some of my opinions.

Looks nice but not sure if it would work on smaller (15") screens.

If you resize the second image, you will see it's not so bad.
I can even see it on the forum. And it has size of 800*450, which is far smaller than normal screen resolutions.

Your second version looks exactly how I would like it to be. The selected hero on the right with it's details. Great Job!

The Grid view system should be redefine to be able to customize base on the person's choice. Some may preferred the hover & enlarged. Some may even opt for selected hero on the right with it's details. So I think the best is to implement the Hero Picker customization for it.

Yes, more customization is better. However what I'm saying is the current hero picker needs a bit more polishing, visually.

                Good job!

                Hover-to-enlarge is just distracting

I support the No-enlarge, and also the DONT TAKE AWAY GRID instantly on selection!

+1 I love the second mock-up you made, and I would love to see it implemented.

                        1+

Same here. Y'know that's exactly the very same idea i proposed not too long ago (can't remember when or where tho lol). Anyway, as i said before, having to see the cards hovering over the portraits is just awful.

As I agree with all those non-hover card opinions, I can't help but see you guys missing the point.
My whole point is some 'visual' overhaul on the picker. Yes I want to see it being non-hover, but yeah. That's not my entire point.
