This will seem like a really strange request to most people, because it's something that won't bother most people, but hear me out...
When giving directions, I get left and right mixed up, unless I spend about half a second thinking about it. I'm told it's because I'm dyslexic.
Unfortunately, in dota there isn't always time to think, and so I often give the wrong directions.
You're probably wondering, when do I need to give directions in dota?
Answer: Half the time I talk about top lane or bottom lane. You might not have considered it but these areas of the minimap are analogous to left and right. Perhaps it would even be fair to call them left lane and right lane. I think this is the reason I mix them up, since it seems to happen most when looking at those parts of the minimap.

Often when trying to tell teammates that we need to defend top tower as radiant, I tell them to defend bot... In a game where communication is so important can be a cause for confusion.
I think it would really help me, my teammates, and perhaps a small group of others, if there was a console command or menu option to rotate it.
Why? Because on the minimap top lane would always be 'above' bottom lane.

Although this could take some time to get used to, It would stop my teammates headaches caused by my misinformation.
I imagine, that the main issue with adding this functionally would be how it would affect the visuals of UI especially with regard to custom HUDs. Trying to make it appear visually pleasing with the already published custom HUDs could be a lot of work, and for this reason I don't think it should be an option in the menu.
However, If it was console command, that was tucked away just for a few odd people like myself ;P Valve wouldn't have to justify the visuals looking bad, less work would have to be done and players who needed it would have it.
TLDR: I get confused when saying top lane and bottom lane, I think this would help, please put an option in the console.
Thank you for your time.
