  • Zelda Item Hero Buy Animation [Sugestion]

So I was thinking of a way to both make buying items fun and allow people on your team to easily see what you just bought.

Example: You are playing a game and both you and team mate go to the side shop about the same time that a top/bottom asked for one of you to TP and gank. If you could see that your carry/ganker bought a TP you can walk back to lane and continue farming. While in most cases I would you voice chat to tell them that I am ganking some people in Match Making don't have mics so having a visual indicator would make this process super fast.

My solution is to have an animation of the Item and gold show up to you and your team mate. There can be some eliminated items such as any items that are only components of recipes A.K.A no active or team abilities such as iron branches and the like. If I wasn't lazy and didn't have homework due I would make a Photoshop Image as to what this looks like. If I find the time I will update this post with it.

If this isn't clear enough or someone amazingly actually reads one of my posts then I would love to discus this.

Don't really need an animation for that. Just briefly pop up the item bought above the heroes head along with the cha-ching sound.

    Good idea.

You should TP and leave carry to farm :P

The scenario you mentioned would happen once in every 100 games so don't think its useful. You can add it purely for esthetic reasons for every item bought providing its an option.
          Work in progress, feedback appreciated

Yes it is a esthetic reason but having four people buy wards and two couriers just because people didn't say anything in chat or voice can and do happen. This would eliminate 60%-70% of those occurrences

I am yet to see this miracle ))) and courier has 5 sec cooldown i think so people wont buy 2. Regardless even if you have 8 wards and 2 couriers all of that you can use and its not actually disadvantage

Also check event pop-up section here http://dev.dota2.com/showthread.php?t=29938
you can add wards, tp... to it and you will know when someone gets them even if you are not both at secret shop.

Sorry for the late reply but yeah I know the use isn't as important but I would like to see what people are buying as well as have the animation/notification even if just for the appearance and yes the pop-up indicator would be great as well. I would still like to see them both indicated as seeing every important item in a all 5 heroes builds pop-up would get annoying. However seeing it on their hero would be fine and could look nice.

Would just clutter up the game.
I'd be fine if it was text (like the way it is for spectators) when you buy non-basic items.

I don't see the point but I also see no reason to not have it. Low priority though.
