    Constant crashing within 2-3 minutes of starting game

    This issue happens to many people, both Windows and Linux. I've seen several report on the Linux version bugtracker as well. I was aways from Dota for a few montsh and now I want to get back but I'm unable to play.

    I tried everything I could think of or was suggested:
    - Validated game cache
    - Turned off Steam overlay
    - Opted out of Steam Beta
    - Lowered my graphics settings
    - Tried various flags in launch Options

    Nothing helped. I either crash within half minute in the main menu, or if I start a lobby I crash during hero picking. 'Im tired and annoyed, I want to play Dota, but I can't!

    Any help or info?

    OK, so some people mentioned starting the game from Big Picture mode as a workaround, which works for me. Hopefully though the bug gets fixed soon.

      Same problem. 8 games of lo pri for this, and it worked perfectly yesterday. Thanks valve

        I get in the main menu and by the time i am done changing my quality config. i crash, have you guys managed tos love this?

          It seems to have sorted itself out. just played a lobby game on a server and it seems fine. I disconnected my internet and relogged into steam and verified cache before all that though.
