Stop comparing Dota 2 to Dota 1. And i don't think sunder is healing, it's HP swapping.

Dota 2 is made to be a mirror of Dota 1 on most things so thats a really stupid thing to say.

Yeah but in dota 1 spells are constructed and made around the mechanical limitations of the engine. For example, sunder may have been coded to be a super fast heal (the only way to make the spell in wc3). However, in actual fact the spell is a unique instant HP swap. Hence, it shouldn't be affected by ice blast.

No, ice blast was hard coded so you always have the min amount of hp. If that number is 500, then ice blast will always bring it back to 500 or any number if it goes lower. When your hp is 'swapped', he gets the full hp but then is brought back down to the min amount

Edit: Not saying this is perfect but if you changed this it would be a huge nerf to AA as it is. It would be like being able to heal under abadons ult, which is bs. As an avid AA player I wish to see it changed back to the way dota 1 is.

Interesting. And I thought HP removal wouldn't be affected by AA's ult which states it stops healing and regeneration only

I agree with you, please let Dota 1 behind on this limitations... Please Valve and testers... Let's use logic, Sunder is not healing so a spell that prevents healing should not affect it, simple as that.

Think of AA's ult like keeping you at a maximum hp and only going lower, not like a healing canceling thing. While the description is not consistent, that is how he works. It could merely be a miswording.

Why does such things as picking up strength items or leveling up under effect of Ice Blast was fixed?

What the hell are those comments. Has nothing to do with dota1=/=dota2.

AA's ult was made to prevent HP from going up. Ways don't matter. That's why picking up str items and decay were fixed too.

Waiting for this to be fixed.

Pugna's Ult is not too different from Terrorblade's Ult. One Gains and Drains HP over time, and the other Gains and Drains instantly.

Punga's Ult does not gain Heath when hit by AA's ult, and the same should apply to Terrorblade's Ult as it does in Dota 1.

Good work with your bug reports Igo.

Dota 2 mirrors many of Dota 1's game mechanics and in respect to that, should keep ability interaction consistency between both games

OP has contributed a lot to weed out poorly transferred mechanics

Without consistency, all the effort and work to balance dota in dota 1 would be fruitless
