    [Fixed] Mjollnir's Static Charge Has Multiple Issues

    Firstly, its visual releases one bolt of Lightning that spreads to other targets. It should release multiple bolts, one for each target. However, this appears to be only a visual change.

    Secondly, the geometry of Static Charge's Lightning is wrong. In Dota 2, a Lina attacking at max range is unable to be damaged, but she may be damaged in DotA 1.
    Static Charge Lightning shape: basically, draw a circle with 125 radius tangent to the caster's center. Draw another circle 900 away from the caster's center with 300 range. Draw two different lines that do not intersect in front of the caster that are tangent to both circles. That's the search AoE (the shape is similar to some images I posted for a bug on the list for Dual Breath's geometry). Targets Air, Ground, Enemy, Neutral, Organic. The primary target must be within 900 cast range (collision included) of the caster, and the two secondary targets are the two closest valid units to the primary target within the search AoE.

    Dota 2 instead provides these values:

    I'm guessing right now the system Dota 2 uses is: choose primary target within 600 range, then choose secondary targets within 300 range of the primary and within 900 range of the caster. Regardless, something is incorrect if Lina cannot trigger it from her max attack range.

    Thirdly, Static Charge's Lightning should not even be attempted to be cast on units with Marker. If a unit with Marker triggers it (I tested with Plague Wards), it should find the oldest enemy non-structure non-ancient except Spirit Bear unit within 875 range and cast the Lightning on it instead. Since it finds the oldest enemy, it prioritizes Heroes. In Dota 2, it happily shocks the Wards instead to no avail (except secondary targets).

    We need newer information. They may have stealthily fixed something here. I'm certain that the shield has new graphics that weren't available before. It might have been a patch this week that changed it.
    I will mercilessly add to my ignore list anyone that makes an incredibly annoying signature.

    The aoe of it got changed in a recent update. This report was prior that patch.

    That's why I ask.

    Can someone check the numbers now and compare it to what is stated in the changelog?

    It is now closer to Forked Lightning rather then chain. It takes 5 random enemies in 900 AoE and deals 200 damage.

    But wasn't it forked lightning before.. I could have swear I always saw Static Charge zapping peoples towards the direction of the damage source.

    Its visual does indeed behave unlike Forked Lightning, but since all targets are damaged at the same time and the secondary targets emit from the primary, I think the end behavior is the same, if not similar.
