Half of Puck's lines--the older ones--are excellent, but half of them sound like a forced, overdone imitation of his older lines. Really, the new lines wouldn't be so bad if they weren't thrown into stark contrast with the old ones. You might not notice bad voice acting if that's all there is, but switching back and forth between great and awful is noticeable and jarring.

    Examples...
    Older, good:

    Newer, bad:

The older lines sound playful and a little bit sing-songy. THE newer LINES sound LIKE the VOICE. actor HAD a... STROKE!

You, my friend, are not familiar with iambic pentameter, which is a poetic syntax where every other (or almost every other) syllable is accented. It is extremely common in certain characters in Shakespeare's works, particularly in A Midsummer Night's Dream, the play where Puck was originally inspired, and it is the speech which the character, Puck, spoke in.

Granted, the newer lines have greater emphasis on this device than the older ones did, and sounds out of place in some instances.

EDIT: Also, someone necros a 2 year old thread, and nobody called him out on it?

Disagree completely. I LOVE Puck's voice work (aside from that second wave of lines that was added several months ago).
