I don't think this has been said yet, but I can't seem to play Earth Spirit or Fire Spirit with this plugin downloaded.
Too sad Bot development stopped by the devs as well as bugs fixes.

Do you have an old copy of the npc_heroes.txt file somehow? The version linked to in my original post definitely works for me.
Well, the first line of the file I downloaded says:

So I doubt it's an old one. And by local server, you do mean just clicking "Practice With Bots", right? Or am I missing some really obvious other way?
That one should totally work. You can run the file as a mod on a local server (https://github.com/Matheus28/SourceM...a-local-server), or, just launch the game with -override_vpk as a launch option and click "Practice with Bots". The second method is a lot easier.
I'm doing exactly that. The only things I can think of that might be interfering is that my npc folder is located in
C:\Starcraft\Steam\steamapps\common\dota 2 beta\dota\scripts\npc
Instead of the regular area due to a file transfer a while ago. I also have other launch options set other than -override_vpk, so those might be doing something as well. I doubt it, though. Puzzling.
No idea...the patch shouldn't really make a difference, as long as the game can launch. A couple things to check:
Can you pick Earth Spirit without the mod?
Is the rest of the mod working? (If you open the console and type in sv_cheats 1, dota_bot_give_gold 999999, do they use the standard items, or my modified ones?)
Both of those are true. I just found a way to fix it though by meddling around
I found the activelist.txt file in the same folder as the mod, and added
"npc_dota_hero_earth_spirit" "1"
"npc_dota_hero_ember_spirit" "1"
to the bottom of it. Everything works fine now. Strange, without those two lines, I shouldn't have been able to pick them in any bot game. Thanks for your help! I hope someone benefits from this, at least.
Sounds like a different modification to an old version of the game or something. Glad it's working for you now!
