Please help me ajust my system.

    SOLVED

    Solution:
    Reinstalling video drivers:

    sudo apt-get purge nvidia-*
    sudo apt-add-repository ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install nvidia-325 nvidia-settings-325
    sudo apt-add-repository -r ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa

Now with medium options, in game fps is 50-70

Software & update -> additional drivers -> nvidia 319 update proprietary then reboot when finished.

When I play Dota2 on Windows7 I always get 60+ FPS, with no dips or stalls whatsoever.
Whenever I run Dota2 on Linux Mint 15, I get a un-stable 50FPS on the same settings as Windows7 (With Nvidia driver update too)

I found once you configure your video settings a little bit. (V-sync off, Low Shadows, Fog off, etc) I get a nice 120FPS, but at the cost of making the game not look as beautiful.
Just something I need to live with I guess.

I have similar problems, Noco, runnign the same distro. Keep in mind that Steam does not support non-Ubuntu distributions, so you're likely to get little help from their devs. =/

I am experiencing similar issues with mint, guess I'll just play with the drivers more.

Also @KingdomNerdia Mint is a ubuntu based distro
