    Funny fact, I once tried to learn the basics, but I gave up. I hate programming in general. I am only studying c/c++, because its mandatory for my major.

    the portal 2 map editor works well only because of the existing portal design asthetic; all 90 degree walls, 128x128 wall panels, input/output connections all established by running lights, etc. doing anything other than that you can't do in that editor. something like 12 angry tests (my favorite custom campaign that I've played so far) would not have been possible at all.

    i thought about the wc3 map editor and how you could do that inside the new source engine 2 :P
